Teachers Health takes out Private Health Fund of the Year across two categories
11 April 2025
11 April 2025: Teachers Health has been crowned the winner of two Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards - Private Health Insurer of the Year 2024 and Private Health Insurer of the Year 2024 (Not-for-Profit or Restricted).
The award was one of 38 announced by researcher Roy Morgan in Melbourne last night, with the wins recognising the ongoing commitment of Teachers Health to the education and healthcare communities and their families.
"We extend a heartfelt thank you to our members for this recognition" said Teachers Health CEO Brad Joyce.
"Our members are at the heart of everything we do, and we are always focused on how to best support them with the benefits they need, nothing they don’t, and truly understanding what matters most. We are thrilled this is reflected in our receipt of these awards yet again in 2024”.
“Teachers Health has some of the most loyal members - with an industry-leading retention rate of over 96% last year” Joyce continued. “Members have told us they are most satisfied with the fund’s unique ability to offer value for money benefits, services and programs most suited to the needs of educators. In addition, Teachers Health’s support of the education community and what matters most to them is a key thing that sets us apart”.
The Roy Morgan wins come off the back of Teachers Health having one of the lowest average premium increases across the private health insurance industry for the recent April 1 review. For yet another year, its annual premium increase of 2.94% is lower than the major health funds including NIB (5.79%), Bupa (5.1%), HCF (4.95%) and Medibank (3.99%).
Roy Morgan CEO Michele Levine commended Teachers Health on their dual wins.
“Teachers Health delivered market leading levels of customer satisfaction over the last year and won two prestigious Roy Morgan Annual Customer Satisfaction Awards – ‘Private Health Insurer of the Year’ in the ‘Not-for-Profit or Restricted’ category for the second time, after a previous victory in 2022, and Private Health Insurer of the Year for a third time after previous victories in 2013 and 2015”.
“In 2024, Teachers Health won five monthly customer satisfaction awards with an average customer satisfaction rating of an excellent 88.1%”.
“The Roy Morgan Annual Customer Satisfaction Awards are based on feedback from tens of thousands of Australians who provide their unvarnished and independent opinions of hundreds of brands. The data that underpins these awards comes from real people and that is the key factor that
makes these awards so meaningful and highly valued and why the dual wins by Teachers Health are a huge endorsement of their high levels of service and customer satisfaction.”
