Can I claim for breast pumps via Extras cover?
Eligibility
To claim for breast pumps, you need to be:
- On Top Extras with any applicable waiting period served
- A mum-to-be, or new mum.
Products
You may be able claim towards pumps that are:
- Purchased from a registered Australian business with a physical presence in Australia.
You can’t claim towards:
- Accessories
- Hiring a device
- Pumps purchased from overseas providers.
Claiming
When submitting your claim, please include:
- Completed Aids and Appliances form signed by your doctor*
- Itemised tax invoice that shows the name of the patient (i.e. the person who’ll be using the pump).
Limits
Like most services under the Artificial Aids & Appliances benefit, Breast pumps has an annual sub-limit.

*We don't need the form if our records show you’re pregnant or mum to a newborn. If unsure about this, please contact us.
